FEATURES

Material Composition and Biocompatibility: Biotech Bio Vision CTR is meticulously crafted from medical-grade Poly Methyl Methacrylate (PMMA), a material renowned for its biocompatibility and inertness within the ocular environment. PMMA ensures that Biotech Bio Vision CTR integrates seamlessly within the capsular bag without eliciting adverse reactions or complications, thereby enhancing patient safety and surgical outcomes.
Color Variants and UV Protection: Available in both clear and Blue (B) color variations, Biotech Bio Vision CTR incorporates a built-in UV filter. This feature provides additional protection against harmful ultraviolet radiation, safeguarding ocular tissues from potential damage and enhancing the long-term health of the eye following surgery.
Manipulation Eyelets for Precise Handling: Biotech Bio Vision CTR is equipped with manipulation eyelets positioned at each end of the ring. These eyelets serve as integral components during surgical procedures, facilitating precise handling, placement, and adjustment of Biotech Bio Vision CTR within the capsular bag.
Diverse Size Options for Individualized Treatment: Biotech Bio Vision CTR is available in a range of sizes, each with specific uncompressed diameters tailored to accommodate varying anatomical considerations and surgical requirements. This comprehensive selection of sizes enables surgeons to customize treatment strategies based on the unique characteristics and needs of each patient, thereby optimizing surgical precision and outcomes.
Circular Expansion and Stabilization Mechanism: One of the hallmark features of Biotech Bio Vision CTR is its ability to provide circular expansion and stabilization of the periphery of the capsular bag. By distributing tension evenly along the capsule, Biotech Bio Vision CTR minimizes the risk of capsular fibrosis, contraction, and subsequent complications. This mechanism enhances the structural integrity of the capsular bag, promoting long-term stability and visual clarity for patients undergoing surgery.

MATERIAL

The primary ingredient of Biotech Bio Vision CTR is medical-grade Poly Methyl Methacrylate (PMMA). PMMA is a synthetic polymer known for its optical clarity, biocompatibility, and durability. These properties make PMMA an ideal material for ophthalmic implants, ensuring minimal tissue reaction and long-term stability within the ocular environment.

OPERATIONS

Bio Vision CTR finds application in various ophthalmic surgeries, particularly cataract surgery, where it addresses a range of conditions and complications associated with capsular instability:

Inadequate zonular support causing lens subluxation
Patients with pseudoexfoliation syndrome
Trauma-induced zonular dialysis
Phacodonesis
Myopic eyes with intraocular lens (IOL) power less than 16 diopters
Repositioning of IOL decentration
Disorders like Marfan’s syndrome, Scleroderma, Homocystinuria, Spherophakia, Porphyria, Hyperlysinemia, Sulfite Oxidase deficiency

ADVANTAGES

Circular expansion and stabilization of the periphery of the capsular bag during cataract surgery.

Reduced risk of capsular fibrosis and shrinking.

Safe IOL centration in eyes with zonular dehiscence.

SELECTION OF PMMA CTR MODEL (SIZE)

TR 11 has an uncompressed diameter of 11.0 mm and is designed for placement in hyperopic eyes.
CTR 12 has an uncompressed diameter of 12.0 mm and is designed for placement in average size eyes.
CTR 13 has an uncompressed diameter of 13.0 mm and is designed for placement in myopic eyes. CTR14 has an uncompressed diameter of 14.0 mm and is designed for placement in high Myopic eyes.
