EYECRYL ACTV

Multifocal Hydrophobic Acrylic Foldable Intraocular Lens

EYECRYL ACTV are indicated for cataractous, presbyopic patients who seek greater independence from glasses for intermediate and/or near distances.

FEATURES

  • Advanced Optical Design: The lens design of EYECRYL ACTV integrates both diffractive and refractive elements, resulting in a sophisticated optical system that facilitates clear vision at various distances. By combining diffractive and refractive technologies, EYECRYL ACTV achieves extended depth of focus, allowing patients to enjoy improved visual outcomes for daily activities. The aspheric design of the optic component of EYECRYL ACTV helps to correct positive spherical aberration of the cornea. This correction enhances the optical quality of the lens, leading to sharper, more focused vision for patients and reduces the reliance on corrective eyewear.
  • 360° Square Edge: The square edge design of EYECRYL ACTV helps to maintain the stability of the lens within the capsular bag and reduces the risk of posterior capsule opacification. This ensures long-term visual clarity and reduces the likelihood of complications following cataract surgery.
  • Rotational Stability: With innovative design, EYECRYL ACTV exhibits excellent rotational stability within the eye, with minimal changes in axis orientation observed over time. This stability ensures consistent visual performance and reduces the risk of postoperative complications related to lens misalignment or decentration.
  • Controlled halos and glares: EYECRYL ACTV’s unique refractive-diffractive aspheric design minimizes the occurrence of halos and glares commonly associated with multifocal IOLs. This design optimization ensures clear and comfortable vision for patients, even in challenging lighting conditions, such as driving at night or reading in dimly lit environments.
  • Glistenings-free: The hydrophobic acrylic material used in EYECRYL ACTV ensures that the intraocular lens (IOL) remains free from glistenings, which are microscopic fluid-filled vacuoles that can develop within the lens material over time. This feature maintains optical clarity and visual quality for patients post-cataract surgery.

IOL remains Glistenings-free

Excellent visual acuity for all distances

No unwanted photopic phenomenon

 360° square edge

Aspheric optic to correct positive spherical aberration of cornea

Significantly better contrast sensitivity under mesopic condition

INGREDIENTS

EYECRYL ACTV is composed of a multifocal hydrophobic acrylic material. This material is foldable, allowing for easy insertion into the eye during cataract surgery.

OPERATIONS

EYECRYL ACTV is primarily used in cataract surgery procedures for patients with presbyopia. Presbyopia is a common age-related condition characterized by the loss of near focusing ability, leading to difficulties with tasks such as reading or using digital devices at close distances. EYECRYL ACTV is specifically designed to address the visual needs of patients by providing clear vision at multiple distances, thereby reducing the reliance on glasses or contact lenses for near and intermediate tasks.

ADVANTAGES

  • Visual Independence: EYECRYL ACTV incorporates innovative LED technology, which optimizes the distribution of light energy to improve near vision while maintaining clear distance vision. This technology ensures a seamless transition between different viewing distances and provides presbyopic patients with greater visual independence.
  • Natural adaptation: The design of EYECRYL ACTV promotes natural adaptation of the eyes to the multifocal lens, minimizing discomfort or visual disturbances commonly associated with traditional multifocal IOLs. Patients experience a smooth and gradual adjustment to their new vision, resulting in enhanced satisfaction and quality of life post-surgery.
  • Less pupil dependency: Unlike some multifocal IOLs that rely heavily on pupil size for optimal visual performance, EYECRYL ACTV reduces pupil dependency, ensuring consistent visual outcomes across various lighting conditions. This feature enhances patient comfort and reduces the likelihood of visual disturbances such as halos or glare, especially in low-light environments.
